Choose a clear starting point
Begin with public static assets: images, stylesheets, scripts or downloads. Record baseline performance and retain the previous configuration. You do not have to move the whole project at once. A dedicated subdomain can make validation and rollback easier to manage.
Document your origin and access rules
Identify the origin address, required Host headers, certificates, CORS and access restrictions. Make sure the CDN can retrieve content without exposing private files. Signed links, origin restrictions and similar features depend on the selected service and should be confirmed beforehand.
Configure caching deliberately
Separate public and personalised responses. Decide on retention times, query-string handling and cache invalidation. Versioned static assets may suit longer retention, while frequently changing pages need another approach. Check Cache-Control headers and verify behaviour after content updates.
Validate before switching
Test HTTPS, file integrity, compression, Range requests for large objects and required video formats. Compare cache hits and misses, origin load and access from priority regions. Missing files, errors and redirects should also behave predictably. Define what a successful test means before making the change.
Move traffic in stages
Agree on DNS changes, propagation timing and rollback conditions. After migration, monitor errors, performance and costs. To begin with Private CDN, send your project address, content type, approximate volume and audience countries. We will discuss the details by email.
